I am gluten free and although they cannot 100% say the chips are gluten free I have never had a reaction. I just avoid the gluten products

I enjoyed my meal, Fish chips, peas and gravy.
Fish was a little greasy! Only slightly everything else was good plentiful chips loads of peas and plenty of gravy, overall 9/10 I would return.
Price was good £9.10 very reasonable.

This is a great little fish and chip shop. Me and my family visit here often. It is great value for money and the food is great. The only issue I have with this shop is the times and days it says they are open they are often not. For the last 3 Mondays we have visited this shop only to be disappointed to find it closed. When they are open this shop becomes packed and busy very quickly.

Just called in and struck lucky as it was empty, usually queued out the door however it’s “Mad Friday” so a lot probably in the pub. Had a good chat with Neal and Rhys. Can’t recommend this high enough, generous portions and all freshly fried, best fish and chips I’ve tasted in a long time. Have a great Christmas guys!

Super Fish supper, new to area and first time customers, called ahead as roads were bad , roadworks and snow etc, they took order and reassured us not to panic due to closing time, lovely friendly welcome and chat, it wasn't until we got home we realised there was some extra free bonus food on top (as they were closing and didn't want to bin it), food was superb, sooo good neither of us took a photo of our delicious fish and chips, highly recommend ( lunch tomorrow with the free bonus bits) and will definitely return. Not long moved into the area, thought we would give this place a try, wow! Cooked to perfection, portion sizes are excellent especially when you put the price into consideration. Staff are very friendly and welcoming! Will definitely be returning. Also one happy doggy when he got his sausages

First time trying this place and its exactly what you want from a chippy. The gentlemen working there were lovely and the food quality was amazing. It was less than £12 to feed two of us! Definitely will visit again.

Closed when times on sign say it should be open. Its not open long anyway, but 10min b4 closing n all lights off n clearly not just missed it. Annoying, wont go out my way again to somewhere that might or might not be open. Nice snarky reply - like most ppl if i want to check if somethings open i google it. U didnt change ur hours on ur biz google details which takes about 60 seconds to do. Also the person who recommended u still actually said the mushy peas were " like marbles" and " i dont think he knew how to cook mushy peas" . So you see my 2 stars is actually quite restrained considering. U could have said oh sorry, we didnt think or missed updating our opening hours on somewhere people still use like google. Must be frustrating having a wasted journey, sorry for the disappointment but please give us a try in the future and im sure our food could win you round to giving us a better score--- see respectful professional customer service isnt rocket science is it.

Food: Great Food and large portion sizes, half the food isn't stuck to it either, always cooked well ! Staff: Two Friendly guys who always make you feel welcome, they ask about how you are, how family is and get to know their community and work like a well oiled machine, whether it's busy or a quieter day they'll always find a chance to ask how you are. Value: Compared to our old favourite and other places we've tried, it's extremely great value for money, it allows us to go back time and time again.

Neal and Rhys, what a team. Neal doesn’t look anything like Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, but he knows what to do with a fish. Always super friendly despite being rushed off their feet, fish is the best I’ve ever had and same with the chips, great portion sizes, honestly, best chippy in the North West.

Great traditional Chippy with two friendly guys who are experts at their trade. They treat all customers equally and aren't "cliquey" as so many similar shops do. I usually have my own fish and chips at home but when I want a real chippy tea, the same as I was raised on, I go here. 100%

Let's start by saying this is the best chippy around by a country mile. Go in, order your fish battered the way you like it, then stand back and watch the two guys behind the counter as they prepare your food. Well oiled machine, a symphony, a show of 2 people working in absolute harmony, it is amazing to watch. Then enjoy your chips

What can I say - mind blown! I ordered a fish free potato scallop, some chips, some peas, a fish, a teacake, a large - no hang on, a small curry and a sachet of ketchup. The guys in the chippy nodded and took my money whilst making some nice small talk about the weather. The chips were delicious although they were all different sizes. Generally speaking, I prefer them to be uniform in length, width and height so that I can work out the volume quickly and for this minor infringement I knocked a star off.
The fish was greasy but not TOO greasy which I thought was a nice touch.
Keep up the woodwork - apologies, good work!

Im from Liverpool and moved to Burnley 3 years ago, tried every single chippy in the area and NOTHING compares to this place! Chips are proper good! Properly cooked very tasty and good portion size and bonus that the brothers that work there are so friendly and lovely! 100% recommend to everyone

I ve just been, I ordered one steak pud proper steak one steak and kidney.A portion of chips large peas large curry and a can .At seven pounds eighty it was a bargain .The food was excelent proper mushy peas no water and decent curry with proper cooked chips.I will definitely return .Cheers lads!

Called in last night for our supper whilst passing on the canal. What a gem of a place. The portions were massive and one of the cheapest chippies I have been to. The chips and fish was cooked just right and the battered Blackpudding was tasty. Curry sauce and gravy spot on. Just wish all chippies were like this one

Great food, great service run by competent, clean staff and is reasonably priced. There's a little window to preorder fish and you can ring orders through accept Fridays and its COVID safe.It's always busy with repeat customers and locals, which is a very good sign. More importantly the fish is very moist, a good size thats flaky with a good batter. The sausages are quality, they serve Holland pies and the curry is the sweet not too spicy type.There's more on the menu that I haven't tried, so it wouldn't be unfair to comment.... highly recommend.

Found this place just off the canal. Called in for excellent black pudding chips gravy and peas , all very nice and such good value that I added a cheeky pie as well. Great stuff well done gents.

Was just passing the area and spotted on yelp app so came and visited them, lovely staff and we had a lovely meal at a good price range, fish was cooked just right, same goes for the battered sausage and chips. I'd recommend this chippy to all. I will be going back when in area again.

Had a really nice tea tonight, I had battered sausage, chips and curry sauce, also my daughter had a fish mini mix with peas and gravy, it was all cooked to perfection and the price was really reasonable, nice high standards in a clean and bright establishment.

Found a gem of a chip shop in Rosegrove, I had a portion of their onion rings and I got to say, wow. Also tried the John Bulls which I will be having again for sure.Nice and clean shop with two helpful and cheerful staff to help.I recommend this Chip Shop to all, I\'ll be going back next week that\'s a promise.

What a great find...brilliant little chippy. I had one of the nicest fish and chips I've had in a very long time. The staff were really friendly and the place is clean and looks well looked after. I even got a free 'John bull' which I'd never had before but went down a treat. Well done lads....keep up the good work
